Viewing the Republic

Design of the visual identity for the exhibition and promotional materials for “Viewing the Republic”,  an exhibition about years following the establishment of the republic in 1910.
The exhibition was divided into 3 deferent sections that took place at 3 deferent places, the first designated as “Republican Gallery ” was located in St. Peter’s room, at the General Library of the University of Coimbra. The second designated as “Ripublican Gallery” took place at the National Museum Machado de Castro and the last one called University Gallery show viewed at the Science Museum of Coimbra.
The exhibition was designed in collaboration with the architect João Mendes Ribeiro. The graphic approach was inspired on the aesthetic of the graphic objects showcased in the exhibition, newspapers, books and others publications.
The promotional material were designed based on the identity created by Ana Boavida for the celebration of the republic.
