Espelho de Coimbra

“Espelho de Coimbra” is an academic project for a historical garden base em Coimbra.
The project consisted in designing a historical garden focused on Coimbra’s history and important personalities that in some way had an influence in the city.
Design of the garden’s identity and a bespoke sign system that was made in concrete formwork. A pictogram was designed to identify every moment/water fountain threw out the garden.
The Garden was projected along side the Mondego River, and used the river’s water as the key element threw a series of canals that unified the garden as one.
