Monastery Santa Clara-A-Velha
The Santa Clara-a-Velha Monastery, built in the 13th century, was partially submerged in water during centuries. In 2008 it was restored and opened to the public as a Portuguese national monument of historic importance.
Design of the way-finding and signage design system for the Monastery of Santa Clara-A-Velha in Coimbra. The totems were designed to be easy to put together or taken apart if needed, each totem is composed by three parts that when put together work as one. The signage system was developed in partnership with Atelier do Corvo.
